The Kyn is located on The Esplanade in Torquay. We serve Middle-Eastern-inspired sharing plates, with an extensive wine and cocktail list. The Kyn is a fast-paced, fun environment, where we aim to offer guests a memorable experience from the moment they walk into the architecturally designed venue.
SECTION WAITER
We are seeking full-time experienced section waiters to join our team at The Kyn. An ideal candidate would be someone with experience in a high-end restaurant environment, who can handle busy sections and thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in hospitality, who can convert their skills and experience into the deliverance of a memorable experience for our guests.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
At least one year experience as a section waiter in a high-volume, fast-paced venue
Passion for delivering outstanding service and a drive to succeed
A genuine interest in the day-to-day operations
Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
Outgoing and engaging personality
Excellent attention to detail and time management
Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
An up-to-date RSA certificate.

BARTENDER
We are looking for a bartender to join our team at The Kyn and deliver a memorable experience for our guests. We are seeking someone with experience in a high-end bar and/or restaurant environment and a genuine interest in hospitality and bar operations. You will be able to use your skills and experience to ensure an outstanding service delivery.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
Experience as a bartender in a vibrant, high-volume venue
Knowledge and experience of cocktail-making and beverage production
Experience in exceeding guest expectations
Adaptability and be able to multi-task
Time management skills and exceptional communication
Attention to detail and immaculate presentation
Strong work ethic and a "can do" attitude
Able and willing to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
